Nordic Wing is hiring a mechanical engineer that wants to develop fixed-wing aircrafts for aerial photo, video, surveying and security. Nordic Wing has successfully put the Astero-system on the market, but the journey doesn’t stop here, and we need your help going forward.

About the job

You could be a mechanical/aerospace engineer, industrial design engineer or something else. Most important is that you are familiar with our field or possess the ability to learn fast. You should also have the practical skills to make prototypes of your ideas. You must have a good eye for practical design, and it is an advantage if you have an interest in aircraft technology. You will be working on developing compact lightweight mechanical solutions, and you should be familiar with composites technology in small scale. Your daily tools will be CAD, CNCs, and a lot of testing for errors, simulation and documentation.

About you

The position requires the following skills:

  • Experience with small scale and lightweight design
  • Experience with fiber composites
  • Some experience with design for injection molding is a plus
  • The ability to make practical tests and prototypes
  • Experience with static simulation and topology optimization
  • Some experience flying RC models or making RC parts is a plus
  • Experience with design for manufacturability

Practical

The position is full-time.

You will be working north of Copenhagen at the old military airport: Flyvestation Værløse.
